10 Mom Glow Up Habits That Will Change Everything

If you’ve been putting all of your love and effort into your children, I want you to know that you are deserving and worthy of the most wonderful glow up too.

After I had my daughter, I barely even thought about putting this kind of effort into myself. I had completely fallen out of the rhythm of it and hadn’t felt that spark for years. But recently I’ve started reconnecting with myself again, and it feels aligned.

I’m finding the style I’ve always had but never fully stepped into, my skin looks smooth and bright, my hair feels long and soft, and I’m learning so many things that genuinely interest me. I’m excited again for everything I want to experience.

So I’m sharing these tried and loved mom glow up habits and tips that have helped me reconnect with myself and feel more like me again.

10 Mom Glow Up Habits

Get Back in Touch With Your Style

When I was having my daughter, I wore the same few dresses over and over and completely got out of the habit of my own style. Recently, I’ve really started to shop my style again and even try new things that I now love.

Maybe you love preppy, sporty, hippie, or even 80s style. You might love fast fashion. I love looking for a mix of newer and older clothes to create an earthy, alternative style.

A mom glow-up isn’t about looking like everyone else. It’s about expressing your soul and personality and looking like you.

Try Something You’ve Always Wanted To

My older sister recently went with her 16-year-old to get some piercings, and she even got her own belly button redone.

I was so excited for her.

Always wanted to dye your hair pink? Do it.

And if you think it’s too out there, I encourage you even more to go for it. Trying something new can give you a boost, make you feel excited, and reconnect you with yourself.

Experiences are what make us feel alive.

Find Your Body Products

I’m experimenting with products that actually work for me right now. We all have different skin types, and finding the right one for you will feel AMAZING.

I absolutely love how Simple day cream and Simple night cream  feel on my face, it’s so soft and glowy. Garnier hair Food mask is another gorgeous one, it makes you want to keep touching your hair. and The Body Shop Shea Hand Balm – all simple, natural-based, and effective products that make you feel loved.

Foot Care

Our feet do so much for us, don’t they? and looking after them can actually have surprising benefits for the rest of your body.

According to reflexology, different areas of your feet are connected to organs and systems throughout your body, so massaging and caring for them can help you feel more relaxed and balanced overall.

Even something simple like soaking your feet, exfoliating, moisturizing, or giving yourself a mini foot massage can feel amazing. It’s worth giving our feet some well-deserved love.

Find Your Makeup Products

I know makeup sounds kind of obvious, but as a mom, when was the last time you actually bought some new makeup? Or is that mascara in your makeup bag probably out of date?

I know I can be the same.

But once I started looking for makeup that actually works for me, it made such a difference. I tried different products until I found something that worked well with my face.

For example, going from that cakey, powdery look to a more moisturizing, glowy look just by knowing which makeup bases to look for.

Since I started using the ELF concealers, I have been using them all the time. They feel so soft, and they have many colours to match your tone.

Weight Training

Another great mom glow-up habit is strength training.

Even doing little bits each day,  like a few sit-ups, squats, or lifting some light weights, can make a difference. You can literally do it while you’re waiting for the kettle to boil.

Small habits like this help you feel stronger, boost your energy, and make you feel really good in your body.

I know I notice the difference pretty quickly when I do it.

Create a Garden You Love Being In

Getting outside in your garden is such a simple way to feel good.

I love going barefoot,  it’s called grounding, and it’s amazing for your body and mood. We spend so much time inside, but having an outdoor space you enjoy makes a huge difference.

Pop in some flowers or plants you love, create a spot for the birds, and have a cute little corner where you can sit with your tea.

Even short bursts of sunshine can lift your mood, help you relax, and give you that natural, glowing feeling.

Visit New Places

Getting out and exploring, even just a little, can do wonders for your mind and mood.

I love a road trip, a day visit, a weekend away, or even just visiting a nearby place you’ve never been before. New experiences stimulate your brain and give you a little boost, like putting a spring in your step.

Research shows that trying new things and seeing new places can help create new neural connections, which keeps your brain active and makes life feel more exciting.

Plus, it brings out your adventurous side and gives you something to look forward to.

Manifesting

I personally recommend getting into manifesting. It helps bring things into my life that feel aligned with my true self,  my job, my home, and the direction I want my life to go.

There are many wonderful books about manifesting, and the feeling of imagining what you want to call into your life can feel really empowering.

It aligns you with yourself and is a lovely way to connect with your goals.

Be Guided Towards Things That Light You Up

Another part of a mom glow up is allowing yourself to be honest about what you truly love.

Not what you think you should love,  but the people, places, and hobbies that genuinely make you feel good.

Listen to how you feel and notice what brings out different parts of you that make you feel amazing.

Sometimes this means letting older attachments slowly fall away. That can be hard, especially when it comes to friendships or familiar places, but it often allows space for the things that are truly meant for you.

Pick One Small Self-Care Goal

I know it can be easy to leave your own self-care at the bottom of the pile while taking care of everyone else.

That’s why I suggest picking one small self-care goal to focus on over time.

For example, growing your nails so you can paint them, growing and conditioning your hair, or exfoliating and moisturizing your body.

Once you’ve nailed that, you’ll probably want to try something else, and it will slowly build into habits.

It takes around 30 days to form a new habit, so starting with small, simple habits is the best way to go.

No more neglecting you, please! Mothers are literally incredible.
