Are you hosting a toddler party? what a lovely idea.

When I organized my daughter’s birthday party, we went to a really cool indoor play center, and this had me thinking; how can you create the same kind of fun for a toddler party at home?

Simple, you think of all the things they LOVE to do! (and that are simple for the adults to put together). It is hectic enough at a toddler party, so you likely don’t need complicated party activities. From one parent to another, I’ve thought of you and your little ones when putting this list together.

These toddler party games are fun, and simple and will ensure you throw a wonderful toddler party to remember. Plus, they’ll tire out the toddlers, giving you a chance to put your feet up afterward—you deserve it!

Toddlers will love having a car racing game but with the pull back cars. My toddler gigglesa uncontrollably when we play with these because of how fast they go!

5. Dolly face painting/ hair dressers

of 8

If you fancy something a bit different from face painting then you could set up a face painting stall for the toddlers to paint some dolls. If you have some lying around then great, alternatively head to your local charity shop as they’re bound to have many for low cost.

6. Decorate your own jelly

of 7

Jelly is so much fun to play with, a great sensory activity and yummy too. They can decorate their own jelly with fruit, sprinkles and dried fruit. The possibilities are endless and they’ll truly love it.

7. Water painting and shells

of 6

A lovely way to incorporate paint is to paint some beautiful sea shells. A relaxing activity that the toddlers will enjoy, and possible the adults too. Fun a day has some great examples of how to paint seashells with preschoolers.

8. Spin the wheel copy the animal

of 5

With this game you just need a wheel with different animals on (or something else if you prefer) then each child takes turn to spin the wheel, whatever animal it lands on, everyone need to pretend to be that animal. A fun alternative to Simon Says.

9. Beanbag game

of 4

Use chalk to colour large circles on the floor, give them a beanbag to throw into a color, then whatever colour they land on they can find something the same color to put in the circle. For example if they land on green then they can go find some leaves to put in the circle.

10. Bubble stand

of 3

If you have a regular water or sand table then that will be perfect for this. Simple fill with bubble mixture and add a load of different bubble type wands or bubble guns. This will keep thee toddlers entertained for ages.

11. Sign the wall

of 2

Make some memories by sticking a huge piece of paper or card to the wall, add a bunch of different pens or paint sticks in a box next to the wall and allow the toddlers to sign the wall or add their own piece of art. This will be fun for them and make a sweet memory for the birthday boy or girl.

12. Find the parcel

of 1

I took my daughter to the sweetest Easter egg hunt at a beautiful farm this year. This idea is inspired by that event, where each child had their own color eggs to find, matching their baskets.

Here’s how it works: wrap up a few little gifts in different colors. Each child is given a specific color and needs to search for parcels in their designated color. For example, one child needs to find all the pink parcels, another child needs to find all the yellow parcels, and so on.

13. Transfer the water

of 0

Is it just my toddler or do all toddlers just LOVE water? This is such a simple game but trust me, they are going to be engrossed. You just grab a load of cups or tubs and fill them with water. Put them on one side of the garden and their water table on the other side, Their job is to transfer all of the water from the cups and tubs to the water table while trying to spill as little as possible.
